Interesting story here. 60 year old mother! Nice example of what bird banding helps us know. (By the way, this is Northern Hemisphere - maybe known older birds elsewhere?)
 
That is incredible. I know parrots live for a while, but I don't think there's any official recordings for any really old ones. I know of some really old captive birds :p But not wild ones. The fact that not only is she still alive, but the fact that she's still in breeding condition and healthy enough and strong enough to breed is fantastic. Who knows how much longer she'll live.
 
It is sadly not looking good for Midway Atoll at present, currently being hit by Tsunami waves reported to be up to 2m high.

Fingers crossed for all areas affected....

I guess she did it without egg-implants or IVF! She must be approaching pensionable age...
