Madagascan birds burst into song (BBC News) (1 Viewer)

Very interesting...especially as the talk at the local RSPB centre last night was entitled, "Madagascar, The Lost Continent", by Robert Harvey.

(4th largest island in world; diverse habitats; 280 miles from nearest land, Mozambique;East side wet, West side dry & South...very dry desert. 4 original indigenous species...LEMUR...now 33 types...with 17 extinct (all large).
