Assuming you like mail in rebates.

Aluminum tripod and head and receive a $25.00 rebate*

Purchase a Manfrotto 055CXPRO3 tripod and receive a $35.00 rebate

Purchase any Manfrotto Carbon Fiber tripod and head and receive a $50.00 rebate*

Valid on items purchased between
April 1, 2009 - August 31, 2009

e.g. perhaps the best deal for the beginner

Manfrotto (Distributed by Bogen) 390RC2 Pan & Tilt Head with 190XDB 3 Section Black Aluminum Tripod Legs, Supports 11 lbs, Max Height 57"

$105 after rebate (with the head)

This head seems to be the same design they use on the 718 and 728B tripods. Not fluid head but a good teflon sliding pad head. A decent starter head until you can get a better one.

The combo is already rather less than the two items separately then $25 off. Useful for the beginner.

I presume it works at other dealers too as it's a Manfrotto rebate.
