tamron 100-400 first outing (1 Viewer)

First time out without any fine tune etc. Very obliging robin !
Seems promising .
taken with nikon d7200 - in darkish spots so ISO at 1600 for robin .

Looks good.......same sort of iq as the sigma 100-400.What made you choose the tamron over the sigma?

Very brave to shoot pirates without AF-fine-tune...
Looks sharp close up, but what about resolution, at longer distance?

Been playing with a Tamron 100-400mm, Good image quality, Can't believe how good it is for the money lightweight ultra telephoto zoom decent AF , weather sealed too!

How would you compare the AF speed to something like the Tamron 150-600g2 or some other lens, just for a point of reference?

It's about 1kg lighter than the 150-600, which must be nice to carry.
