Yellow-rumped warbler in southern Ohio? (1 Viewer)

A whole flock of these flew over me and into a tree today when I was walking in the woods. I only get to see them once a year migrating thru so I'm not certain it's a YRW. Could someone confirm this or tell me what it is? Thanks!

yes that is the YRW. I just saw a bunch yesterday walking a short trail.
They are very attractive birds.

Not at all, in fact, a few probably winter there every year. I even see one or two every few winters here at the south end of Lake Michigan.

I use to see pine siskins in the winter, but never YRWs. I'm glad I was in the right spot at the right time. Thanks for the ID!
