Lumix G5 "Pinpoint" AF Issue (1 Viewer)

Hello all.

I use my G5, handheld, for photographing wild birds. I want to use the AF "Pinpoint" feature in order to get a particular spot (usually the eye) in focus. [The smallest "1-Area" size is often not small enough.]

But here's the problem. In Pinpoint mode it always gives you the "enlarged screen" (digital zoom) for some amount of time (.5-1.5 sec.). This is VERY distracting as you try to keep the camera (hand held) on the moving bird.

Can this be turned off? Can you use Pinpoint without the "enlarged screen" feature? Can the "Pinpoint AF Time" be set to 0?

Alternately, is there an AF selection that would be better for shooting birds?

Thanks.
