Resident birds, that is.

It was a 2.3 mile bike ride while counting birds. Stopped for a lot of them. About half were heard only. Had to listen to the towhee a while, finally having to pick one or the other. Not easy if they are a little far. We do see both here quite a bit. We are just on the edge of the spotted towhee summer territory. To see something new in June I have to drive about an hour and a half away. Pileated woodpecker is still waiting for me in Omaha.
