Thinking of purchasing this scope, is it any good? I already have the HDF 16-48X ZOOM eyepeice which is fitted for my GS 665. Can I use this for the ES 80?

yes it's a very good scope and is excellent value, the HDF zoom will work well on it giving you 20-60x magnification.

I have one with the HDF 20-60 eyepiece and it is an excellent scope. I don't do much seawatching, but I did use it a couple of times during last autumn's little auk passage and it was fine for that.

Thanks for all your help guys. I am now the owner of a Opticron ES 80 ED with the HDF 20-60x zoom lens and the worlds suddenly alot brighter!

Cheers
