Hi There From a Still Sunny Hot Spain

Well, the golf competition was fun,did not come away with any prizes, but the birding was great

At first we had a light N.wind and the raptors started moving early,30 + Black Kites,40 + Honey Buzzards, and at least 3 Short Toed Eagles.

After a couple of holes the wind started to veer to the E.and all raptor movement ground to a halt, but there were plenty of passerines etc to enjoy,1 1st winter Woodchat Shrike,4 Hoopoes,4 swallows,a few Common and Pallid Swift,2 Spotted Flycatchers,1 Willow Warbler,2 Yellow wagtails.

Also at first light from our balcony there will still good numbers of House Martins leaving their roost sites ( i.e.nests) around the apt.blocks.
