The Mercury camera is indeed fascinating. Half frame, sector shutter, weird looks and info on the camera.

I think they were asking what people wanted so they could come out with a design people liked.
You would not get individually made binoculars.

Yes and interesting that neither nature observation, bird watching, or cricket is mentioned at all.

Maybe "hiking" was supposed to encompass the nature / bird demographic.
