Some very disturbing news from the UK Government on Sky News that 18 wild bird have been found with bird flu in Dorset, 16 Mute Swans among the list. I’m just so shocked by this.

It never came to much in the past despite the alarmism about it possibly crossing the species barrier to humans, can't see this being any different?

It's more about the effect on the poultry industry - if this gets into a big chicken farm, they lose the lot.

There is a free range egg co. near us, and we saw the hens out for the first time in months last week, as restrictions had just been lifted from the previous incidents! This new outbreak won't affect them, fortunately... I'm sure the hens were eggstatic to be free again!
