can anyone get any closer with this image? pretty crappy, I know, and I am fully expecting the answer to be "no". Taken in Lauca NP, November 2009

that is one species that crossed my mind. It is difficult to say for sure, but I think the tail looks a little too long and reddish? I was looking at the Canasteros?

Its a Cordilleran Canastero, was it at Lauca National Park? The tail length, slim body and tail pattern identify the bird. cheers, Alvaro.
