Young Meadow Pipit feeding young Cuckoo. (1 Viewer)

Yesterday I came across this news item on the site if the Belgian society for the protection of birds, it is from last year.

In a rehab centre a young Meadow Pipit and a young Cuckoo were placed together in a cage, after a while the Cuckoo began begging for food and to the astonishment of the people who work there the Meadow Pipit started feeding the Cuckoo.

In the third picture the Pipit feeds the Cuckoo while sitting on its back.
