Getting there...ish (1 Viewer)

I poured myself out of bed this morning at 5.30 today and took a trip to Snettisham (hopefully) for some gulls and waders. But the fog and mist put paid to that. Anyway, as I was there for 7am, I had the place to myself and all of the hides. When I entered the Sanctuary hide I saw the Kingfisher sat on a branch by the pool. I managed to get the 70-300 zoom out of my bag while trying to open the window like a ninja. I also grabbed a few minutes of video for the wife to ooh and ahh over. I didn't even try to get the big scope out. But over at the roost hide the little egret flew in and I had a more relaxed 20 minutes or so to get settled and take quite a few shots with Celestron 80Ed and my old D70 at a variety of settings. This is a quick one with a little play about in PS. I did try photographing some birds in flight, but the focus/track/concentrate etc just gave me rubbish. More practise needed. John
