Mini cliffs are crackin!

On the farm where we stayed in Norfolk there were several ponds and each year we seemed to time our visit with an absolute explosion of miniature toads and frogs. So much so that you had to literally shake the little blighters out of your boots every morning!

As i've been very preoccupied of late....[what with going through hundreds of photo folders in an attempt to sort them out]:smoke: i haven't posted here for a while....

So here's just a few more simple 'bits'....[i shall refrain at present from posting my more abstract stuff]..;)

Summer autumnal images...including a Roesels Bush Cricket basking in the sun...[the macropterous form f.diluta]....

ps...in last image i was trying to turn some fabulous grasses into the ocean...:cat:

Thank you for the welcome back Bigshent....B :)

I hope you do get to Africa one day...it's a real eye-opener....:cat:

The subjects pictured so far are so stunning that too much 'tinkering' of photos detracts from their beauty...

Kinda the reverse of what i usually do....:smoke:

ps...i don't mind dropping to page two....it's good to refresh now and again ones thoughts and processes...

All the best....:t:

Every once in a while my first reaction to a post is that I want to drop everything and rush out and sketch. That's what happened with these photos. The problem is now I want to rush out and sketch in Africa!

This was my fifth visit to Africa Ken and it never fails to impress.....!

If i had the talent of some of the fine artists around here i would have been sketching.....[that is unless the extreme heat didn't burn up my pencils]....;)

So much to do with the 'material' i've collected on this visit....a visit with the prime aim of cats...:cat:

I might do a complete folio of Lions.....their raw latent power just seeps out of every well defined sinew...magnificent creatures and a sheer joy to admire....

ps..Tim...i had a fantastic time...and one of the best 'events' i witnessed i failed to capure any images of :smoke: because i was totally entranced...a night time Kalahari lightening storm of incredible proportions...i was positively hypnotized....!

Just thought i'd post these first attempts at rhino images....

Not really finished yet...i need time to digest the horrific news of recent rhino killings in South Africa....[my blood is beyond boiling but i will refrain from my usual bad language on here]....http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2012/nov/27/dirty-war-africas-rhinos

Must be particularly unsettling after just having been to Africa. Wish I had an answer to this type of mindless destruction.
