Help with Southern California multi colored bird (1 Viewer)

This bird was seen in Oceanside CA. It was located in an edge environment between a sage hillside and houses. Initially I thought it was an immature House Finch, but I have never seen a House Finch with blue highlights and a yellow rump. There are certainly many HFs in this area.
Please pardon the slightly out of focus picture.

House Finch. House Finch's colors are determined by its diet, so this is probably just a duller one.

Thank you for your thoughts. I do see both orange and red faced House Finches in my area. When I saw this bird there was no doubt in my mind that it was a HF, but when I later looked at the photo, I was not sure. The blue (which does not show up very well on my OOF picture) was what made me question the ID.

I am seeing some gray, but nothing really blue. I think it is a molting House Finch.

The gray feathers have a slight bluish tinge on my monitor. It is definitely a male House Finch.
