Duck near Stratford, Warwickshire, UK (1 Viewer)

Hi all, found this duck walking along the Stratford canal on Monday, wondered if anyone knows what it is? I don't remember ever having seen one like this before. Bigger than a mallard, smaller than a goose. Sorry for the picture quality, (s)he didn't want to let me get too close :)

I can't see any Muscovy characteristics whatsoever... and I've kept both... Crosses too... It's colour and upright carriage looks more Black Cayuga X Mallard or Mallard coloured domestic breed....

To me this bird does have the jizz of a Muscovy hybrid - something about the head shape (high forehead?) and looks like it might have a somewhat long rear end (though hard to tell from photo at this angle), also the patchy colouring of the feet... but I also think it isn't impossible for it just to be a domestic Mallard type. I think a photo of it side-on (either on land or on water) would decide it more definitely.
