Hi!

Please help me identify these eagles from Oman, Dhofar region, photographed in Decemeber at Raysut sewage treatment plant
1-2 Steppe Eagle?
3 Steppe Eagle?
4 Steppe Eagle?

all eagles are Steppe
unfortunately Middle East terns do not read books and show up with greyish rumps and tails and still are Common but wait for tern experts to get an ID
 
Yes, I think based on proportions it's a marsh tern, not a Common, with Whiskered the likeliest candidate as Lou says. Not too bad a match for this bird.

The wings and rump are too dark for White-winged, I think, and WWT has a different head pattern even in moult.

Commons here are often dark-billed but not grey-billed, AFAIK, and I think even the most difficult Commons still have a white rump and tail.

Indeed, most of the terns at the water bodies more into the land were Whiskered Terns
