Kestrel ? (1 Viewer)

Taken in Lincolnshire this week I saw various birds, or one bird in different places during my walk, hovering in search of prey. Due to the dark brown nature of the wings and the plain head colouring I think they are kestrels. Am I correct ?

Kestrel is the only small raptor in the UK that hovers for any length of time. Buzzards occasionally hover, but they are huge in comparison.

The dark primary feathers of a Kestrel are very distinct. and a good ID guide in straight flight.
