Which is better for wildlife photography ? (Birds)

Nikon D500 + 300 2.8 VR II/ TC 1,4 III

Canon 7D Mark II + 300 2.8 IS II/ TC 1,4 III

The Nikon. The AF is even better than the Canon's, and that's pretty good already.

But if you want to carry your gear longer distances, you might want to consider the 300 4 PF instead of the 300 2.8. With the D500 you can use fairly high ISO no problem, and the difference in weight is quite something.

I second this,the D500 will laugh at the loss of 1 stop and you can laugh at the weight and price saving
