La Gomera mystery bird (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

I'm sure this is a dumb question - I took a photo of this bird during a trip to Gomera (Canaries) last week, taken near El Cedro at the Ermita Ntra. Señora De Lourdes. I'm sure I've seen it before, but I can't remember the name. Maybe you can help? They were very brave, this one settled on the table just as we took out our lunch and a female followed closely.
Thanks for your help!

Hi Antje
It's a (Male) Chaffinch Fringilla coelebs (Canary Islands Race tintillon) I believe.

Good photo!:t:

Hello Antje,

Do you come to La Gomera often, or was that a one-off trip back in 2004?

David
