180-600 mm Zoom Nikkor Lens tested for videoscoping (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone,

This time I tested my 180-600 mm zoom Nikkor lens for videoscoping. The set up was consist of Nikon 180-600mm AIS lens+Showtime 35mm adapter+Panasonic TM700 camcorder. For my eyes at f8 aperture the result was incredibly sharp and contrasty. There were minimal CA at extreme situations but I believe it does not come from the lens. In a short word, with this set up first time in my life, I had the opportunity to count the eyelashes of a starling in my garden :)

Good work, Murat! It should have great possibilities for long-range video of shy wildlife.

Thank you very much Mike,

I wish I have time to play with my toys. These are quick shots either while I am traveling for my projects or from my garden. But capabilities of the 35mm lenses on camcorders, is giving me excitement. Best wishes.
