Hi. Instead of sleeping in on a Saturday morning in Suburbia, my wife and I are listening to robins, taking turns in repeatedly running into our windows. They also sit on our porch railing and make their unwanted deposits. We used to like seeing the robins in the spring but not any more. How do we make them change their behaviour?

Welcome to BirdForum.

In short, you cannot change their behavior. The window problem is prevalent during breeding season. The bird sees its reflection in the window and thinks it's an interloper in his territory. If you can find a way of cutting the reflection down, that would help.

The Robins were here long before we were so the best thing you can do is learn to enjoy nature around you ;)

Hi Sipo and a warm welcome from me too

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I'll look forward to hearing all your news.

Hello and welcome to the forum. As KC said it is mating season, so they are more territorial. Should settle down soon.
