under shooting menue, when I want to go to continuos setting, I cannot get it, it jumps past the continuos setting. Please help

It sounds like you have BSS switched on .... you can't use BSS with continuous shotting mode.

This happens to me sometimes, I normally find that it is because some other setting is locking it out, very often it is the choice of user setting or the image settings that are the course.

I have now found out that it was because I had the noise reduction set to on.

I had this problem with my 4500 and couldn't diagnose what was going on. Doing a RESET sounded a bit terminal but it cured it and I just programmed in the settings that I wanted.
