"Yes, the one with the binnoculars."
Spent Wednesday up in the Annapolis Valley. Sunny and cold ... lucky to hit 8ºc. In Sheffield Mills, spotted a mature Bald Eagle and several juvenile. The juveniles were flying above being harassed by crows. The mature eagle was sitting high in a tree with a view of several nearby fields.

Moved on to the "Look Off" on North Mountain and then past Blomidon to Scotts Bay. Opposit the shoreline was a beautiful young Northern Harrier flashing its red underparts as it turned to glide once again across the field. It was so amazing to see just how slowly it could glide. It looked like it could have dropped at any second. It's distinctive white patch at the base of its tail feathers was easily spotted. It was a joy to watch.

On the way back across the Valley we stopped again in Sheffield Mills. This time we were thrilled to see a Red Tailed Hawk swooping around the fields and across the treeline.

Now, back to the little city birds for a while.
