Hi bird forum people. I am birder / nature lover with a wildlife job who is chained to a desk. It's just about dark here. All our water bodies have low water levels because we had barely any snow over the winter, but bird numbers seem to higher than normal. Chimney Swifts are twittering overhead.o:)

Go figure, it's hotter than all get out down here and it was the worst migration season I have seen in my 20 years in this area.

It does seem odd that so many migrants seem to have made it back. Migration seemed extremely thin here too but --- they snuck by us or something! I did some birding up north of here recently too, and the migrant songbirds are definitely there on territory.
