I was in Vancouver for my Dutch Christmas( I also get the usual Christmas in Canada.) Waiting for the ferry I saw common murres, a bunch of I don't know what kind of commorant( didn't get very close,) Great Blue Herons, Ring-billed and Herring Gulls. I also saw a bunch of gulls on the ferry and a couple seals and river otters. On the way to my omas I saw some kind of owl (it was dark and far away.) The next day I saw northern flickers, crows, house sparrows, black capped chickadee and a steller's Jay. On the way home saw a bald eagle and a red tailed hawk more common murres and commorants. all in all a good weekend.

Sounds as though you had quite a weekend bird wise.

Someday, I hope to see a Stellar Jay. I think they are lovely.
