Interesting CBuzzard Photo - France (1 Viewer)

Saw these two together today. I was really drawn to the size difference, it is not an optical illusion.

I then looked at photos and the two birds are virtually identical plumage.

Anyway, just thought it was interesting...

Focus gives it away - right bird is (pretty much) in focus, left bird is not, so distance is different, probably quite significantly. As for plumage similarity, buzzards together at this time of year are almost certainly close relatives.
