Are there any mobile apps which you could use to listen to the birds singing in the area and label the species present?

Check out birdgenie.com. I'm not sure if it's for sale yet, but I have had contact with two of the developers. I am producing an audio device to be placed out near the feeders that will amplify bird sounds and wirelessly stream them inside (or to their app). They are interested in this because the success of their app depends on a clear recording.

(If you want to kept in the loop on my gadget, go to Chirpsounds.com and log your email address.)
