My friend , who is a non-birder, wanted to tag along with me while bird watching at the Finderne Wetlands. She has a bunch of videos on youtube and lately has filmed some birds at places I frequent. I just wanted to share this quick video on BF.

Birds we see in this short video are:

Ruby Crowned Kinglet (opening shot in shrubs seen flicking wings from a distance).

Palm Warbler (in same shrubs in closer, subsequent shot seen pumping tail)

American Kestrel

Great Egret (flying)

Solitary Sandpipers

Green Heron

The house in the video is a preserved Colonial era house; the Van Veghton house which is also home to the Somerset Historical Society. George Washington slept there. :)

Over the past couple of weekends at the wetlands I spotted in addition to the above list: Swamp Sparrows, Savannah Sparrows, Osprey, Belted Kingfisher, Green Winged Teals, RT Hawks, Bald Eagle, Common Yellowthroats, many Kestrels and more.

here is the vid:

Great vid, looks like a very pretty spot. Very nice shot of the Kestrel, I think I saw one yesterday while out with my local Audubon chapter but I didn't see it clear enough to positively ID.
