Long-tailed Widowbird? South Africa (1 Viewer)

Saw this one in Suikerbosrand nature reserve just south of Johannesburg in august. I thought it had red on the breast at first but now I think it might be the shoulder, combined with the white stripe and the wing shape that should make it a long-tailed widowbird.. If anyone could confirm or deny that that'd be greatly appreciated.

Is the red really a colour on the bird rather than a photographic artifact - it seems to coincide on all the pictures with one of the blurred vegetation stems in the foreground.
