All:
I have been observing a bald eagle’s nest from 34M away from a cliff top blind, whereby the nest is lower than the cliff, so the cliff itself is a blind, with 8x32 and now 15x56 binos, tripod mounted, for some years now. I am sited in such a way that only the binoculars + top of my head are visible to the birds and the sun is behind my back.
I am also using the Norwegian camouflaged Fjellduken cagoule-poncho, as well as dead branches attached to all my kit with bike inner tube elastic bands. So far, I don’t think they know that I am there, which is as it should be…
I am wondering if anybody has successfully mounted a digital camera, mine is an older Olympus Stylus 720 SW to the Zeiss Conquest 15x56?
I have been looking at using the Celestron pocket camera to telescope adaptor. Any recommendations would be appreciated!
Meanwhile, it is +8C here, so warm I think the Bald Eagles chicks are about to hatch out, as the adults keep looking at their chests as they brood as if they are sensing movement inside the eggs!
