Crossbill? (1 Viewer)

I took this picture yesterday Near Coverack on the Lizard peninsula.
There were a pair of them feeding on young pine trees. surely they are very rare for this far South!

A fine male Crossbill. Its not unusual to get Crossbills in the south of England, they may even breed somewhere fairly local?
