7X50 Binoctem 1Q Question (1 Viewer)

Hey Everyone,
Is there any real difference between a 7x50 Binoctem with 'Made in Germany' stamped on it rather than 'Made in the DDR'?

Thanks

Hi,

a CZJ bin with the "Made in Germany" label is a rare beast. Supposedly there were some made right after the german reunification - these should have fitting serial numbers around 7.2 million. Or they are a bad fake...
You know the usual fakes on Holgers page?

Or just post some pictures...

Here are some pictures.

Hi,

the bins look ok except for the Made in Germany label. According to the serial number these were made in 1967 and should be labelled Made in DDR or just DDR.

Maybe the cover was replaced later - the printing looks whiter than the rest...

The serial number plate does not seem very tight. It spins around on the pin. There is also a slight blue hue to the optical lens so I imagine they are coated. Also they are very heavy.
