I have just found out that I will have 2 days in Kathmandu in October and having never been there before wondered if any one knew a good guide and where to go to see the best birds.

Phulchowki is probably the best site close to Kathmandu, don't know about the guides situation though.

Phulchowki is an excellent site and can be reached by public transport if necessary.

I had a wonderful time using this company in 2003. The guides have joined together to fund a nature reserve from their profits. They were excellent and lovely people too.
