Refilling feeder every day. (1 Viewer)

I'm refilling the feeder every day now. 4 cups water and 1 cup sugar. There's over six out there now, and the most I've seen at the same time was probably a dozen. If I'm refilling the feeder every day, about how many birds are using it?

Hi Jakeo, welcome.
Below is an ABA article on the Ruby-throated molt. Last page with some info on estimating population density.
Using a conservative methodology of "“maximum-in-view-at-once” with an estimate extrapolated at a 1/5 ratio.
Translated...every 1 bird seen equals 5 five unseen (uncounted) but estimated in the area.
Those numbers can correlate to your count of 6 * 5 = 30 or so birds.
to your 12 * 5 = approximately 60 birds

Ruby-throated molt

Sheri Williamson published some numbers also
Sure be nice to see her teach us something, here
Your numbers on the high end are close to what Sheri states

I guess 60 is a lot for one feeder so it's probably time for another one. I'll see what I can find on Amazon, thanks!
