Mystery bird in Emory Texas at 9:48 this morning (1 Viewer)

Hello Everyone,

I just saw this amazing bird. it was fairly big with a bright red head, long beak, grey top feathers and a white belly. I think he could be from the woodpecker family. I just don't know if they get that big. the bird was about the size of a blackbird that we see here in texas. I tried to get a picture but he was too quick. anyone know from the description what he could be.

Thanks,

Christy
