Ann, thank you for the link above. I live a long way from all this, and would never have found it at all except for Birdforum. All threats to birds, anywhere in the world, are worth knowing about and if possible, acting upon. I don't believe humans have learned what they ought to have learned from the Passenger Pigeons, and with climates rapidly changing, many birds are just so vulnerable.
