As I am pretty new here, so I wanted to run this past all of you.
The Opus page for the Gila Woodpecker states "This is the only barred-back woodpecker in its range." I propose that be removed as:
There are actually several species that could fall under that description. The Ladder-backed being the most common. The Williamson's (female only), Red-breasted, Red-napped, and the Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers all are barred and have an over lapping territory.
