I had my window open last night and around 1am I heard a really distinctive call from a bird flying overhead. I'm pretty sure it was a Whimbrel after I had listened to the audio clips on the RSPB website. I know they're not due back to mid-April, but is it possible to get one this early flying over?

That would certainly give one time to make it past Glasgow. I'm "pencilling" it in as a Whimbrel...
