What Was Your Favourite Birding Experience.

Hi Everyone, My favourite birding experience was when my wife and myself were on holiday in Andorra. We were having our pack lunch when my wife noticed two large birds flying towards us. Thinking they were griffon vultures
as seen earlier we did not get too excited. On a closer look we could not believe our luck a pair of Lammergeier. Well I nearly fell off the mountain with excitement. That was my favourite moment of our hobby. Donald.

Lammergeier, that's great. My "Golden day" was last year in Turkey, near Nidge. We went on to the Demirkazik mountains and birding was excellent. I walked up alone, as the rest of the group wasn't so fit (the took a tractor) It started with Finsch's Wheatear, the first Red-fronted Serin, a beautiful Rock Thrush and a feeding couple of Crimson-winged Finches. Joining the others on the plateau, we heard our main target calling and after a good search I found it: the Caspian Snowcock. A trully mystic bird.
This wasn't the end. Eventually we found a Radde's Accentor and also a nice Chukar on the way down.
It was the best birding I ever did and it will be hard to get another day like this.
