I thought I would see if others use the same feeding system as I do.
I feed the birds (from feeders) November 1 through the end of May.
June 1st through the end of October I let them fend for themselves by eating insects and the many berry bushes in our yard.
Right now I have the following berry bushes:
1. Two Rosey Glow Barberry
2. Two Crabapples
3. Two Pyracanthas
4. Blackberries (which grows wild in our yard)
5. Virginia Creeper (which also grows wild in our yard)
6. Cotoneaster
7. 2 Viburnums
8. Chokeberry
9. Nandia (which I was told will get berries)
10. Virginia Rose w/hips
11. Columbian Hawthorn
12. Self Polinating Cherry
13. Two Wax Myrtles (one of which looks sickly)
14. Siberean Red Twig Dogwood
and this Fall I will be putting out 4 blueberry bushes that I ordered on sale.
