Shark ID (1 Viewer)

I saw this shark in the Gibraltar Straits in April 2011.
I have a couple of books covering fish, both in the North Sea / Atlantic and the Med but don't see the "ragged" look on the fins of any of the sharks pictured in these.

Another picture on this page where other records (birds, sunfish etc) are documented.

Can anyone confirm the ID?

just looked at the other shot - defo billfish. Broadbill swordfish, med. spearfish and blue, black and white marlin are all options
