Yes, I have seen that one Helios - great image although in Richards case I do not think it is necessarily all down to the camera as he could take good images with a box brownie ;)
 
I am about to sell all my canon gear and go nikon. D3s . Even though i know I will miss the 400 f5.6 if only nikon made that lens I reckon it would be a no brainer.
 
well thanks to everyone for the advice and feedback on the mkIII and the 7D, I've been toying between the two options for the last week... however in the end I (on the spur of the moment) decided to go for a 5DmkII!!! Clearly not the ideal birding camera but will be great for the other aspects of my photography.
