We live in the interior of Guanacaste and found this one as it was trying to go into an outdoor sink then rapidly moved into a covered water container.

Did you identify it? The book I have is for the Caribbean slope but your snake appears to be a sort of Parrot Snake.

Steve

Thanks.
Yes, some sort of parrot snake is what I thought, but I was hoping to find out which type. I saw a photo on line of a Bronzeback parrot snake, but it wasn't the same.
Here are two more photos, that for some reason I couldn't add last time.

Thanks. I will contact those in Grecia....although, not our 'immediate neighbor'.
Our English mastiff was bitten by an unknown snake a month ago, on his neck, which result in temporarily paralyzing his tongue. It wasn't an immediately apparent, so at first he was off his food for a couple of days, then his tongue swelled up and he couldn't move it all. The vet prescribed antibiotics and after a few days, a 3" hole appeared on his throat, where he had been bit. The 'hole' is now an inch in diameter, and my husband has to clean it twice daily....and is eating 'normally' again.
Again, we have no idea what species of snake was responsible.
