what sort of ducks are these??? (1 Viewer)

Please can some one help me identify these two birds, we saw them when we took the children from the nursery i work at to the duck pond in Preston Lancashire.
 
They're Mandarin Ducks, an introduced species from China, which are now breeding in the wild in a lot of places in the UK. So these could be part of a collection, recent escapes, or part of the spreading feral population. I'm no fan of introduced species but there's no denying these are spectacular birds.
