Hello all BirdForum users!!!

In this thread I want to show some examples of videoscoping materials made with Leica APO-Televid 77mm, 20x-60x eyepiece and Nikon Coolpix P310. Maybe it will be useful for someone who is looking for some details about this set.

My first shots with this set - Whooper Swans:

Now I have to fight the wind noise, but I guess that it shouldn't be that hard. We will see:

That's a lot of swans. It looks very cold too. How did you keep your hands from freezing ?

Yup, that was quite a big flock. In fact in my surrounding it was first time I saw that many.

It was quite cold - that is true. Keeping hands form freezing? Warm gloves and hope, that in home glass of hot wine is waiting ;) .

Thanks Ratal. I hope I could show some more videos in the nearest future - soon birds will come back to Poland, so opportunities should show.

Sorry for late reply - I was 'internetless' lately...

Cheers,

Marian

Hi All.

Lakes are still frozen so there are not to many birds. Fortunately we saw one quite interesting "family" out there: Greylag Goose and two Mute Swans:

This footage is quite shaky due to heavy wind, but I decided to upload it anyway. Feeding through the hole in the ice is quite interesting for me, besides finally light became really nice.

Cheers.

Thanks for kind words. Generally speaking Peregrine Falcons are quite rare in Poland, but fortunately we have an active re-introductory program here, so chance of such observation gets bigger every year.

P310 is OK, in fact I miss one thing most: RAW file format... But while videoscoping it is not a problem.

Cheers.
