Got the Britain and Northern Europe App but I'm off to Turkey next month where it will have limited use. Surely a Mediterranean App is on the cards but when?

Good news. The Northern European app's a real winner, better than anything available for North America.

I'll be as bold as to say "hopefully", though as of yet there's no firm deadline for release.

Would the northern app be of much use in Spain? I am not going specifically for birding so would rather not carry a hard-bound bird card but an app would be perfect... but its a little expensive if its not going to give accurate coverage.

I'g get it, there is a lot of overlap and the audio tracks can be invaluable. The concise BWP information is full of useful stuff.

If you haven't got Collins yet, do yourself a favour and get one. The paperback is $20 at amazon and as the worlds best field guide it's a must.
