Equine artist struggling with birds.... (1 Viewer)

Im new to this forum and am totally engrossed in all
the different forums to the point of overload !
Im going to have to switch to decaf at this rate or I'll
never sleep. This forum is the one I really got lost in....
B :)

Im an illustrator and ave done stuff for auto and equine entities
in the past and am currently working on ways to try to employ
my pan & ink stippling technique for some bird related art.
Im totally self taught so this stuff doesnt come too quickly...
:scribe:

Birds are hard for me because there are so many different
textures that need to be accommodated to make them look
real and natural. The art I see here is very humbling and
inspiring at the same time. Amazing stuff

Here are two horses I did, one was a commemorative T-Shirt
for the Saratoga Springs event about a decade ago and one
was used as a logo for a farm in Pennsylvania.

I have a Magpie on my board as my training bird and will
post him when Im finished....

Thank you all for inspiration and taking time to post your great artwork !

Thank you very much everyone !!
Your blogs and links are quite inspirational !

Im humbled by the work I see....
As much as I love art of all types and spend time looking
at it from photography to abstract, I dont think there is any
better way to evoke a 'personality' or feeling from a particular
subject then with the brush or pen. In this era of instantaneous
computer flash art, It's fabulous to see all this great traditional
medium art in one place !

welcome to the best bit of BF....I recently migrated from equine to avian, have to say it's a very inspiring world to enter, and lots of great artists here to help out...

I couldn't agree with you more, especially being such a newcomer to this forum myself! The forum has been like a breath of fresh air.

Welcome and hope to see more of your own art soon!
