I still can't get over the brilliant red of the male cardinal now. Boy, he's gorgeous!
The brown thrasher is so sloppy compared to the mocker! Funny to watch them.
Wonderful stuff... thanks a bunch! :flowers:
 
Very windy- and cold too- unseasonably so. And yes- those males are really "rich" right now however I must confess that I have my camcorder tilted a bit toward the red side of the spectrum. There is a menu that allows for a bit of color shifting. But the males are amazingly red anyway. And for sure about the brown thrasher- he dosen't care what he looks like when he comes to dinner- often there is mud and dirt all over his bill when he starts his thrashing on the suet. They are quite a treat to watch and, over all, I would say the thing that amazes me most is how well all the different species get along on the feeder. They respect each other- they give and take, they share.
